This is a list of the most deadly circus acts of all time. 5) The veiled double wheel of death: Knife throwing is when a person is strapped to a board, and someone attempts to throw knifes around their body. This is already inherently dangerous. “The Veiled Double Wheel of Death” is when two people are strapped to a board, which is then spun as quickly as possible, and the knife thrower cannot see where the participants are, but still has to throw knifes around their body. This trick is so dangerous that it has only ever been done once in history. The stunt was done by famous knife thrower “Throwdini” who has to throw each knife at 0.59s to make sure he doesn’t kill his assistants. 4) The double human cannonball: The human cannonball is an extremely dangerous act where a human is shot out of a cannon and onto a far away net. The calculations for this act need to be exactly right to make sure he lands on the net. But even if you get the calculations right, simply landing on the net may not be enough. You also have to make sure that the net is able to take the impact. In April 2011 a man died doing the human cannonball act when the net, that was supposed to break his fall, collapsed, and he died on the way to the hospital. From creepy Asylums to scary military medical centers, we count the most haunted hospitals in the world. 10) Royal Hope Hospital:   The royal hope hospital was a Spanish hospital in what is now Florida. It served the Spanish military from 1784 to 1821 and was built on an old native American burial ground. So it already sounds like the ideal setting for a terrible horror movie. Which is fitting, seeing as almost everyone who visits the site reports some kind of paranormal experience. They claim the hospital beds often rise into the air, as if controlled by poltergeist. According to local legend, the spirits of dead Native-Americans sometimes emerge from their graves and attack to ghosts of the Spanish soldiers who disturbed their resting place all those years ago. Built in 1854, the complex was home to some of the most savage killers in North-America. If records are to be believed, doctors would often drag patients into the basement and force them to take part in satanic rituals. These are the most haunted places in America. 5) Alcatraz prison:    This Island prison is known as one of the most haunted places in America. Even before the prison was built, native Americans believed it to be full of evil spirits. Since then it has been the death and torture of many prisoners, leading to a multitude of ghosts. Visitors have been terrified by screaming, moaning and crying coming from inside the walls and empty cells. Al Capone famously stayed at the prison, he daren’t go into the courtyard for fear of death, so instead he spent his time playing the banjo in the shower. Ominously his Banjo can still be heard there today. Mark twain described Alcatraz as being “As cold as winter, even in the summer months”. From a ghost infested Hotel to an entire Island full of all kinds of supernatural beings including hags, ghosts, and spirits. This is a list of the most haunted places in Canada. 5) Fairmont Chateau Laurier, Ottawa:   This hotel was founded by Charles Melville, but he never got a chance to see it open since he lost his life on the Titanic before it opened, people say he now haunts the building. One couple who stayed at the hotel where completely unaware there were even ghost stories about it but became completely convinced it was haunted upon leaving. The woman who  in the couple felt an invisible force brush up against her arm, and saw the cupboard door suddenly close on it’s own. She also felt an invisible presence touch her shoulder while she was showering alone. Other guests have reported being followed by ghosts and have even seen objects fly across the room. 4) Fort Garry Hotel:   In Fort Garry’s room 202, a woman who was deeply depressed because of the death of her husband due to a fatal car accident, hanged herself in the cupboard. Staff at the hotel have become deeply disturbed at the sight of blood inexplicably dripping down the walls,  guests have reported seeing ghostly apparitions hovering above the bed, and her ghost is often seen crying in the corner. These are the most creepy and haunted places in Australia. 5) Boggo Road Jail:   Ernest Austin faced the gallows for the murder of an 11 year old girl in 1913. He was the last ever man to be hanged in Boggo road Jail and has been haunting it ever since. Witnesses claim to have seen his ghost strangling prisoners in their cells. New prisoners were warned by the guards and other prisoners to watch out for his ghost. When Ernest died it is believed he made a deal with the devil to avoid going to jail by collecting souls for him.  Prisoners claim that when facing the gallows Ernest laughed maniacally, and evilly. 4) Devil’s Pool:   Over 15 people have lost their lives at Devil’s Pool. It supposedly started when Oolana, a local tribe girl was arranged to marry a tribal elder known as Waroonoo. After they married Oolana fell in love with another man. They attempted to run away together but were caught by their tribes. Oolana broke free from her captures and upon realizing she would not be able to marry her true love, threw herself into  a nearby water hole, now known as Devil’s Pool. She now reportedly  haunts Devil’s Pool, luring in victims and killing them. 17 people have died there in the last 50 years.
